I am a nurse from Brazil and I am now 29; I live in Beachwood, Ohio. I finished my education in Brazil in June of 2006; in March of 2007, I began working as a Registered Nurse. Also, in January of 2011, after finishing my Master of Science in Nursing (2 years) in Brazil, I began working as our equivalent of a nurse practitioner, in the operating room of the National Institute of Cardiology in Rio de Janeiro. I stayed there until July of 2011. Since the beginning of last semester, I have been enrolled at XXU in the Intensive English as a Second Language – IESL (1 year) program, hoping to prepare myself for your graduate program.

Over the course of the last five years, I have traveled around large parts of the world, mostly: France, Span, Italy, Portugal, USA, and many places in Brazil and the rest of South America. In addition to English, I am also fluent in Spanish. Thus, I feel strongly that I am someone who has a lot to contribute to the diversity of your program, since I am familiar with much of Latin America and have had extensive experience in an operating room in the Developing World. My long term goal is to administrate public and private health care systems in Latin America. Your program will provide me with a comprehensive background in both management theory and practice, and a solid grounding in planning and policy analysis. I especially appreciate your program’s focus on the interaction and interdependence of management studies, on the one hand, and the social sciences on the other.

I look forward to taking full advantage of the opportunities offered by your program to gain additional practical experience by completing internships. Perhaps my greatest gift is my good cheer.
